Hello to all.  My name is Ms. Irene Sikora.  I have been teaching in the Diocese of Trenton for 46 years.  I am certified to teach all subjects, from Kindergarten through 8 ^th grade.  I have taught various grade levels and subject areas within my year’s of teaching.

Currently I am teaching PACED Math to grades 6, 7, & 8 and 7 ^th grade Religion.  The Math classes include a daily drill of basic math facts and lessons following the Diocesan Curriculum Guidelines.  I include material from our new Math series, as well as supplemental materials from various Math Publishers. 

In Religion, we use the  Blest Are We Religion book.  7th Grade will also be studying a Confirmation packet distributed by Holy Cross Parish In November.  They are busy completing their Service Hours right now.

I truly enjoy the field of Education and have spent most summers completing Professional Development.  Some of my most rewarding projects include:

• evaluating teachers’ submissions for National Teaching Certification
• reading for the Middle States Accreditation Board
• correcting open-ended questions for the PRAXIS teaching test.

I love being part of the Holy Cross Community.  I have found the parents to be involved and cooperative with their student’s education.  The atmosphere of caring and concern is evident throughout the Academy.  I look forward to continued success in the future.
