Hello! My name is Diane Boccella and I am the School Counselor at Holy Cross Academy. This is my second year at Holy Cross and I’m looking forward to another exciting year.
I earned my Bachelors Degree in History with my teacher certification from Kean University. While attending Kean University, I played field hockey and continue to play for local leagues! After graduation, I became the Graduate Assistant Field Hockey Coach. Through coaching I was able to earn my Masters Degree in Counseling, which has led me to assist in the social, emotional, academic, and vocational development of students from the elementary to college level.
After completing my Masters Degree I worked at South River Primary School, where I taught students through a restorative discipline program. I also had the pleasure to work at Monmouth Regional High School where I assisted students in their college and career process.
At Holy Cross Academy, I teach classes from PreK through 8th Grade, where we discuss various topics relating to the needs of each grade. My goal as a counselor is to meet the needs of our students- socially, emotionally, and academically. I am here to support our students, their families, and our staff!
